When you work in publishing (or book stores), you tend to ask or answer this question a lot: “What are you reading?”

We love this question at Piper because the answers are always so intriguing and so varied, and when someone takes an extra minute to describe their current read, they whisk you off to another time and place, or what we like to call on “an all-expenses-paid 5-minute vacation.”

Books are also a wonderful way for friends and coworkers to bond with each other, and they allow us to share experiences, even when we’re miles, states, and countries apart.

That’s why we’ve created Piper Reads. Each week, one Piper editor will answer the question, “What are you reading?” and take you on that well-deserved, 5-minute vacation.
