SHANNON

SHANNON

Shannon always knew she wanted to be an editor, ever since she took a red pen to her friends’ notes at her Minnesota elementary school. Since then she has earned an M.A. in Writing, Literature, and Publishing from Emerson College and worked as an editor and writer for numerous publications, including a shipping newspaper in Norway, and for a long list of U.S. book publishers. Shannon has also been creating content for artificial intelligence in educational products since 2016.

She wakes up every day happy to work on her projects and considers many of her authors her close friends. She lives right outside Boston with her very good-looking husband and their two slightly-above-average kids.

She enjoys wearing Scandinavian sweaters, rooting for the Patriots, and reading while her husband watches the Jets lose.

If I weren’t a writer/editor I would be: bereft! But if I HAD to choose another career, I would be a librarian.

My morning routine is: non-existent. I wake up and get cracking on my projects.

I most admire: people who are resilient, people who are kind.

My superpower is: I can shoot lightning out of my pinkie fingers. But don’t tell anyone.
